4 - Loss of Autonomy

Many people are experiencing this kind of feeling, even me. This topic discusses that Loss of Autonomy is a fear of being immobilized, paralyzed, restricted, enveloped, overwhelmed, entrapped, imprisoned, smothered, or controlled by circumstances.

In a physical form, it's sometimes known as claustrophobia, but it also extends to social interactions and relationships

Well this is one interesting topic to begin with. It's like being held against your will. Loss of freedom. Being a prisoner of your own self.

I am a shy guy. I often over think about stuffs that doesn't need to be thorough. I admit I am a very insecure person. Especially socially.

My perspective about this fear is that you lack of confidence to express your true self to unfamiliar territory.

Often easily intimated my least actions of others caused by you unwillingness to take a risk to show yourself as it may discourage them to get to know you. Your anxiety over trivial matters may be not so trivial after all. That's the whole point! I am over thinking every single thing i do. That is why i encourage you as early as now. Be the guy who you want to be. Not be puppet of what people what you to be. Or you will be a prisoner of your shadow.

Devon Aoki pointed out that "Everyone has their own insecurities, regardless of how you look or how people perceive you, but sometimes people give their insecurities too much power. Defining beauty is simply a matter of opinion. For me, real beauty has very little to do with the structure of someone's face or body."

Therefore being insecure about something isn't really a big deal. For once, try not to look through the eyes. Not everything looks as it seems. More than meets the eye. Insecurities are just road block that prevents you from stepping forward. If you don't speak your mind, you will continue that gesture "WHAT IF".
