6 - Ego-death

What is humiliation? Have you ever felt so humiliated? In proportion to what i have read, This is a fear of shame, or any other mechanism of profound self-disapproval that threatens the loss of integrity of the Self; fear of the shattering or disintegration of one's constructed sense of lovability, capability, and worthiness.

This is by far worse than fear itself. For me, ofcourse. Let me explain. Being humiliated publicly is horrifying. As it leads to FAILURE. DOUBT. AND FEAR ITSELF. You are constantly avoiding mistakes. You are afraid of being a epic fail. Thus leading to insecurities. From insecurities you are inevitably turning away to your true nature self, such it leads to fear of being alone as you want to live up to everybody's expectation.

A chain of fears develop. From my experience, fear is absolutely devastating. It takes true determination to endure challenges. As one insignificant event may turn to worse by just leaving it there to sort out by itself. WRONG CHOICE MATE. Conquer and adapt at once. You might not know what it will lead.

According to Lao Tzu, “Pride attaches undue importance to the superiority of one's status in the eyes of others; And shame is fear of humiliation at one's inferior status in the estimation of others. When one sets his heart on being highly esteemed, and achieves such rating, then he is automatically involved in fear of losing his status.”

The quotation stated that Pride is a lovely sight. But too much of that may lead to a disgusting ego. Sometimes, admitting mistakes saves you from being more humiliated. The fear is so easy to conquer that we don't even notice how easily it is to be adored. We put ourselves and our character first and it blinds us from what we perceive as humiliation.
