5 - Separation

Why did i make this blog? Simple, because my professor wants to. Kidding. I am making this blog because i want to share something about Separation. I want to discuss something about this and share my experiences. But first, let me introduce you what is "Separation". This is a fear of abandonment, rejection, disconnectedness - of becoming a non-person - not wanted, respected, or valued by anyone else. For me, separation has a big impact for everybody. Whether you love the person or not, a friend, loved ones, etc.

The "silent treatment," when imposed by a group, can have a devastating psychological effect on the targeted person.
The impact is very troublesome as this leads to insecurity as stated in my previous blog. As people have needs such as attention. Being not wanted in society leads to devastating effects such as being afraid to trust.

I've had experiences related to this. The feeling of not being wanted not only by your peers but to your own family as well. Depression is a struggle that leads to unreliability to do my responsibilities and neglecting priorities as even though you do something significant, no one will be there to acknowledge and appreciate. I've had troubles at times. But it is all in my head after all. There are people who wants you. You just haven't seen it yet. And yes, it's true. No one is an island. No one can stand on their own. Friends are easy to come by but true friendship will always stand out and leave a mark.

Although it is not an official phobia, the fear of abandonment is arguably one of the most common and most damaging "phobias" of all. People with the fear of abandonment may tend to display compulsive behaviors and thought patterns that sabotage their relationships, ultimately leading to the dreaded abandonment. This fear can be devastating, but understanding it is the first step toward resolving it.
Jealousy is nothing more than a fear of abandonment.
